Day 1

9.30 am Take a train to Vladimir from Kursky train station (fast train - 1 hour 40 min)
11.14 am Meet with a guide and a driver
Sightseeing Tour of Vladimir to see Golden gates (outside) and learn the old history of Vladimir, once the capital of Russia, see the Assumption cathedral (famous for Andrey Rublev frescoes), St Demetrius cathedral (outside)
Lunch break
Drive to Bogolyubovo to see the famous Pokrova-on-the-Nerl Church. Enjoy a 15-minute walk through beautiful meadows.
Leave for Sudal
4-5 pm Check in the hotel
Free time. Dinner is on your own

Breakfast at the hotel
10.00 am Meet with a guide and the driver at your hotel

Sightseeing tour of Suzdal, which was once the capital of Rostov-Suzdal principality. This town is like a museum under the open sky; its medieval monuments tell you its old story. During the tour, you will see the Suzdal Kremlin, visit one of the numerous monasteries, and the trading square where you can get some treats from locals.

Lunch break
Explore the unique museum of wooden architecture and learn about the everyday life in Russian villages in the past.

Free time
4.30 pm Leave for Vladimir to catch 17.59 train to Moscow
7.40 pm Arrive in Moscow

While in Suzdal, you’ll have a chance to try Suzdal mead, known as medovuha. You may experience up to 10 different tastes, and kids will try its non-alcoholic alternative (available on day 2).

If you travel with kids, you may visit Shurovo Gorodische. It is a wooden complex built as a movie set. There you might visit traditional wooden houses and sit on the oven, see domestic animals. It is also possible to try bow and arrow shooting which might be fun for adults and children.(available on day 2)
