Moscow parks

Moscow parks Moscow is a very green city. More than 40 percent of its territory consists of parks, gardens and forests.
For each  Muscovite there're  about 16 square meters of greenery (As a comparison for a New Yorker there're about 8,6 , for a  Londoner -  7,5, for a Parisian 7,5 square meters of greenery)
Moscow has almost 50 parks and forests, including the national park Elk Island, which makes Moscow unique among the world's capitals. Moscow has more than 700 public gardens and boulevards.
Many former estates of Russia tsars and nobility are today within the city limits. It'll take you only 30 min to get to Kolomenskoye, a  favorite summer residence of Russian tsars or Kuskovo, an opulent and amazingly well-preserved estate of Count Sheremetev.  Don't miss the opportunity to stroll around picturesque gardens during your Moscow tours.
