Circle of light 2017

Did  you know that last year the Circle of light festival was included in the Guinness Book of Records?

This annual event features multimedia and musical shows, light and laser installations, audio-visual performances and more. This is a unique project that allows everyone to reveal the familiar face of Moscow in a new light. The admission is free. 


Below you can see the  description of the festival schedule

 
1. The Ostankino Tower

 
The opening ceremony  of  the "Circle of Light" festival will be held in Ostankino.
An incredible show is being prepared using lasers, light, choreography of fountains and video projections, whose height will reach 330 meters.
You will travel to the most beautiful places of our planet including Lavender fields and the Sahara desert and discover how the Ostankino Tower will get transformed into the Eiffel and other world high-rise buildings.
When:  September 23 and 24, at 8 pm, duration - 40 minutes.
Where:  Akademika Koroleva street 15, building 2
 

2. Theater Square
 

Russian literature including the works by Chekhov, Ostrovsky and Gogol will revive in incredible show of light on the facades of the Bolshoi and Maly theaters. Here you can see the works of finalists of the Art Vision competition
When: September 23-27, from 7.30 pm – 11 pm
Where: The Theatre square

 
3. Tsaritsyno

 
The facade of the palace with the help of light and music will come alive and tell the audience about its feelings. At the Tsaritsynsky pond you’ll
see a show of dancing fountains accompanied by the music by Russian composers. In the park you’ll discover incredible light sculptures created by designers from around the world.
When: September 23-27, from 7.30 pm

4. Strogino

 
The last day of the festival we invite you to Strogino to see unforgettable Japaneese 30 minute performance. Hundreds of pyrotechnical shells will be fired from four barges installed on Strogino pond.
When: September 27 at 9.30 pm
Where: Strogino floodplain
 

5. "Mir" Concert Hall

 
Competitions of light-music teams will be held in the concert hall "Mir". Each participant will present a 10-minute set. In real time, new works will be created at the junction of video, light and music. Advance registration is required
When: September 24 at 8 pm
Where: Tsvetnoy bulvar 11/2
 

6. Digital October
 

The event is dedicated to the professionals in the field of visual art and light artists. The program includes lectures and practical exercises. Advance registration is required
When:  September 23 and 24.
Where: Bersenevskaya embankment 6/3

One of the most interesting photo festivals opened its doors to the visitors of all ages in CHA (Tsentralny Dom Hudozhnika). The exhibition uniting more than 500 works is devoted to Russian nature. The project “Primeval Russia” was organized by the enthusiastic photographers, documentary directors, cameramen, travelers and scientists.
