If you want to learn more about Maslenitsa - an Eastern Slavic religious and folk spring holiday celebrated during the last week before Great Lent come to Moscow and enjoy it to the full. Russian capital will meet you with various fairs, traditional music and games, delicious pancakes and interesting activities. Today we would like to share with you some places of interest that you might visit during your Moscow tour.
At Kuznetsky Most the tastiest Moscow fair will take place. Here everyone will be able to try traditional Russian pancakes.  On weekends you can see  the holiday performances held on Kamergersky Lane, Old Arbat and Nikolskaya Street. Art-buffs are welcome at Patriarshie ponds where live canvases inspired by Russian literature will be represented. Music lovers will certainly enjoy the folk festival at Gorky Park with traditional burning of Lady Maslenitsa in a bonfire on Sunday of Forgiveness. Izmailovsky park festival will be interesting to everyone who wants to participate in master classes and learn various crafts. At Bauman garden 'Hearty bazaar' charity program will give you a chance to skate with professional figure skaters and sing and dance in a ring. Victory Park, in its turn, prepared a great musical program with different holiday rides in Russian style. Perhaps the most modern holiday you can experience is called 'Transformaslenitsa' at Goncharov's park. On the 13th of March you will see curious futuristic installations and create your own piece of art in the local “Art-pancake gallery'.
