Moscow Science Festival

Visitors of all ages are welcome to visit the 10th Moscow Science Festival. The lectures, expositions, science shows, contests and masterclasses  will take place on 3 main stages - the International Exhibition Centre “Expocentre”, Fundamental Library and the main educational building of Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov. Moscow tour guides hope that you have time to visit this festival and learn more about the sciences you are interested in. 


The 10th Moscow Science Festival over the years acquired a lot of interesting traditions. The most popular of them are the interactive exposition in the Fundamental library, lectures held by  prominent scientists  in the Shuvalov's Building of  Moscow State University and the breath-taking firework show on Sparrow Hills. This year the organizers of the Festival prepared a lot of interesting surprises. For example, on the 10th of October in the Fundamental Library the talented mathematician and rector of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Victor Antonovich Sadovnichiy will tell visitors about the new project called “Noah's Ark”. It represents the attempt to create a kind of biobank, depository of the biological materials from the different corners of the world. On the 11th of October the contemporary Russian poet and history professor Igor Leonidovich Volgin will speak about the destiny of the writer taking as example  the works of Leo Tolstoy and Fedor Dostoevsky. 

In the Shuvalov's building the visitors will be able to watch some intriguing  films “Brain's secrets”, “Living under ground”, and “Tесhno dependence” on TV-channel “Nauka 2.0”.  On the 10th of October you will have the opportunity to listen to Ada Jonat, the Nobel prizewinner in chemistry for the investigation of the structure and functions of ribosome. Here the interesting project “Traveling in Russia all by yourself” will be also held. The famous travelers who visited 75 regions of our country will tell you about their adventures on the routes like St.Petersburg-Sakhalin and share their experience. 

In “Expocentre” the guests of the festival will be able to visit the interactive museum of the man called “Live systems”, revealing the secrets of human mind and body. The so-called “Physical Kunstkamera” will meet the visitors of all ages with interesting exhibits explaining popularly the main physical laws.

One of the most interesting photo festivals opened its doors to the visitors of all ages in CHA (Tsentralny Dom Hudozhnika). The exhibition uniting more than 500 works is devoted to Russian nature.
