Summer Ballet Seasons 2015

The traditional Summer Ballet Seasons prepared a rather saturated program for the admirers of the famous Russian Ballet. This year this project founded in 2000 celebrates its 15th anniversary. Moscow tour guides recommend that you visit this unique cultural event uniting the most outstanding Russian and foreign soloists and collectives known by their interesting interpretations of the classical plots as well as innovative staging.  

This season the visitors of the Summer Ballet Seasons will be able to enjoy the performances of Moscow Ballet “La Classique” run by Elik Melikov, Russian Classical Ballet run by Oksana Usacheva and ballet company of Mari State Opera and Ballet Theatre headed by Konstantin Ivanov.  The anniversary repertoire of the Summer Ballet Seasons 2015 is rather diverse. The well-known fairy tale “Swan Lake” (Russian “Lebedinoe Ozero”) traditionally opens and closes this cultural event. The visitors will also be able to see such classical ballets as “Don Quixote”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Giselle ” and “Nutcracker” accompanied by the live orchestra.

All the performances of the Summer Ballet Seasons take place at the Russian Academic Youth Theatre (RAMT). This 19th century mansion situated in the very heart of the capital has always been the center of Moscow cultural life. One of the most interesting photo festivals opened its doors to the visitors of all ages in CHA (Tsentralny Dom Hudozhnika). The exhibition uniting more than 500 works is devoted to Russian nature.
