Day 1 Kirovsk Arrival

Arrival at Kirovsk–Apatity Airport (choose a flight arriving at around 4 pm)
Upon morning arrival at Kirovsk–Apatity airport, you will be taken by our driver and go to Ogni Imandry.

Ogni Imandry is a comfortable guesthouse with panoramic windows offering an exceptional view of the Khibiny Mountains and the Imandra Lake. The complex is outside of town and offers perfect conditions for watching Aurora Borealis.

Day 2 Winter fishing, Husky-dogs, reindeer, and the story of Saami

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for winter fishing.

Try ice fishing to catch perch, grayling, or other typical local fish. The guest house offers comfortable heated tents to stay warm while fishing. You may ask the hotel staff to cook the fish you’ve caught.

Lunch with local delicacies

After lunch, you’ll visit the ethnic village of the peoples of the Far North to learn how Saami lived here long before Murmansk was founded and open up your mind to living in conditions of cold and aggressive northern nature.

You will see more than 90 gorgeous affectionate Siberian huskies and hear fascinating stories from the history of sled dog breeds. After a tour of the kennel, you will be able to proceed with dog-sledding (around 1,5 km)

Your guide will give you all the essential instructions and teach you how to do the mushing. You will also meet the Northern reindeer, one of the most beautiful animals of the Far North. Curious facts about these animals will definitely surprise you! The park is located among thousands of hectares of pine forest around, so be ready to dive into a completely different world, full of silence and harmony.

Day 3 Snowmobile tour in the Khibiny mountains.

Breakfast at the hotel.
09 am Meet your guide and driver to get to the snowmobile station. You’ll join a snowmobile tour to the heart of the Khibiny Mountains. The tour duration varies from 1,5 to 5 hours but each option offers breathtaking views of the area.

You’ll be provided with the full equipment including warm protective clothes, a helmet, balaclava, boots, and gloves. The group travels under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Your guide will accompany you to translate.

During your tour, you’ll have a stop to have a picnic by the fire

Visit the Snow Village

Upon arrival on your first day, you’ll have time to visit a popular local attraction.
Snow Village is a unique building made exclusively of snow and ice. Each year in every November, ice sculptors from all over the region come to Kirovsk to design the snowy halls and tunnels, make snow and ice sculptures, create unusual illumination. The theme of the decoration always remains unique.

Mysterious Forest park

Visit "Mysterious Forest" art park. This is a very atmospheric and beautiful park with unusual snow sculptures and mysterious lights. While walking around you might get the feeling that you are somewhere in another dimension! Music adds magic and helps to plunge into the atmosphere of ancient civilizations with mysterious statues and traces of alien visitors visiting the Earth.

Cable car ride

On your first day, you may take a Cable car ride to the summit of Mount Aykuaivenchor, which is 1075 meters above sea level. From above you will take in a magnificent panorama of the Khibiny Mountains.

Try local banya

You might have time for banya in the evening of your first or second day.
Reindeer rides. It is possible to organize a reindeer sleigh ride around the islands of Lake Imandra, with stops for taking pictures against the backdrop of the panorama of the Khibiny Mountains.
