When did communal apartments appear in Russia? Who used to live in these apartments before? How did people of various backgrounds ,religious believes and class affiliations manage to share commonfacilities? These and many other intriguing stories will be narrated during a tour of such a communalflat.

The tour will be preceded with a short walk of Arbat area where the communal apartment is
located.This apartment belonged to the professor of Moscow conservatoire before revolution. There are twogrand pianos where famous musician taught his students, among whom jazz pianist Igor Brill, saxophonist Igor Butman, film director Andrei Konchalovsky. A lot of famous people of arts frequented this apartment back in times. Nowadays one of the rooms is preserved as a family museum where paintings and other artefacts can tell us a story of the Soviet époque. You will be also served with tea with some pies and sweets of Soviet past.
