Ivan's Hill Tour

Moscow stands on seven hills, that what Russians know from our school years. Truly saying, there is another number of hills in the city. Yet nobody cares, and we still keep repeating that it is so. Where did this fallacy come from?

Join us to walk around the most historical district, that is a hill named after St John, which is still featuring the charm of an old city almost disappearing last decades. 

We are going to find the chambers of the 17c, cosy courtyards, old Christian (Orthodox as well as Lutheran) churches, the remains of the Medieval rampart, a city garden hidden from the public eye. It is a beautiful mix of the centuries' old history, of the foreignerers' presence in the city (especially of the Jews) and of the modern era. We will end up at the notorious square seemed as the most dangerous place of the pre-Revolutionary Moscow, where the declassed people were surviving.
