We invite you to enjoy the most complete exhibition of 20^th century Russian art in all its diversity – avant-garde, socialistic realism, non-conformism and other new art trends. This tour gives gives you an insight into art and also the turbulent history of the 20^th century.

Petrov-Vodkin. Bathing of a Red Horse

The exhibits showcase avant-garde artists such as Malevich, Kandinsky, Chagall, Goncharova and Popova, as well as nonconformist artists of the 1960s and 1970s who refused to accept the official style.

A visit here is a real history lesson and allows visitors to see the Soviet era as the long and complex process it was, full of difficult and conflicting attitudes, ideas and stages.
However not only large-scale retrospectives of great Russian artists are held here, but also experimental exhibitions of young authors are showed.

The tour also includes a walking in the Muzeon park of arts (formerly the Park of the Fallen Heroes or Fallen Monument Park). More then 1000 sculptures are represented in collection: the monuments of the Soviet era and socialism period, works by Russian avant-gardists and contemporary artists and also public art. Among monuments you may see works by Evgeny Vuchetich, Vladimir Lemport, Sergey Merkurov, Vera Mukhina and other famous sculptors.
