Visit Moscow International Military-technical forum Army 2020 August 23-29th 


The Russian military exhibition known as ARMY, is very popular with aviation enthusiasts and photographers.  You have the chance to spend 3 days at the exhibition and watch its unique flying program. Exhibition display is to be housed in the halls and outdoor venues of the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Centre, Alabino training ground and Kubinka airfield with a total square of over 250,000 sq m. 
 
 
In addition the tour will give you a chance to
  •  visit one of the world’s best aviation museum in Monino
  • take photographs of the aircraft and helicopter collection at Chernoye repair plant as well as Kubinka repair plant
  • Explore Medyn airfield in Kaluga region
  • Study the aircraft collection of three Moscow museums including Central Armed Forces Museum , WW-2 Museum and Vadim Zadorozhny privately owned museum
  • Take a driving tour of Moscow including the stops for taking pictures of several  Aircraft-Monuments
  • Enjoy the panorama of SVO and Vnukovo airport ramp from your hotels
 
 

Day 1 Sunday August 23d  

 Individual arrivals to Moscow SVO airport – accommodation 1 night at Radisson  Blu at SVO (4* on B+B basis). The hotel has ten floors with the 11th being a restaurant -bar with an outside area. From here you have a fantastic view of the  airport ramp.
 

Day 2 Monday August 24th 

After early breakfast, departure at 7 am with luggage
We drive to Medyn airfield famous for its unique collection of 39 military aircrafts. The trip will take the entire day as the airfield is located 180 kms from Moscow. During the tour the barbecue will be offered at lunch time.

On the way back we’ll have a stop to see Kubinka Aircraft Repair Plant which  is one of Russia’s oldest aircraft repair enterprises in Russia.
Accommodation at the Doubletree Hilton-Vnukovo Airport for the next 5 nights (B+B).  Both Kubinka AB and Patriot Park are less than an hour drive. Our company does our best to provide our clients with the rooms facing the VKO ramp.
 

Day 3 Tuesday August 25th

Tuesday August 25th  departure to  Patriot Park and/ or Kubinka AB
*NB! The days of the demo flights days 3-4-5-6 -7 are subject to change
We’ll visit the Patriot Park Expo Site, which is the central point for the ARMY exhibition. In this large facility all major Russian weapons manufacturers have their stands.  On Patriot Park are also about 30 preserved aircraft and helicopters. Today is a business day, so we have to purchase and register our clients for each Business  day in advance.


We’ll be able to see Army 2020 flying program 
Each day we are at Park Patriot / Kubinka we will arrive back at our hotel around 18:00: the official flying ends at 17:00.
 

Day 4 Wednesday August 26th 

Depending on the weather,  in case there are no flights at Kubinka we drive to look around Monino - the Central Air Force Museum, in the afternoon  we’ll visit Chernoye Aviation Repair Plant. The plant specializes in the repair and restoration of An-2s and Mi-2s, including engine and helicopter gearbox overhaul. It also handles other types such as Mi-8s.

Day 5 Thursday August 27th

Thursday August 27th  Kubinka AB –demo flights
 

 Day 6 Friday 28th  

The Sightseeing tour of Moscow. The tour of the Moscow center will be combined with photo stops at Alexeyev A-90 Orlyonok, Khodynka Tu-134, Tushino L-29, Mil-2, VDNH (former Exhibition of Economic Achievements) Yak 42, SU 27 and Mi 8T helicopter. The first visit today is to the large Victory Museum (WW-II Museum) which includes an excellent collection of  about 40 military aircraft.

Another highlight of the tour is the visit to privately-owned Vadim Zadorozhniy’s New Technical Museum with its collection of 68 classic automobiles, 115 motorcycles and over 70 aircraft
Later in the evening we visit  Central Armed Forces Museum with its exhibits of weapons, uniforms, tanks, artillery, armoured trains, boats and about 20 aircarft.
 

 Day 7 Saturday August 29th

Departure with the luggage  to  Kubinka base, public day flights. It is expected to include single and multi-aircraft ‘acts’ and display teams (especially on the Saturday public day), and live firing.

Day 8 Sunday August 30th

After breakfast you have the possibility to take pictures from the open area  on the 11th floor, open especially for our group, later in the afternoon flight back home.
