The tour is aimed at showing you the best of Nizhny Novgorod in one day. It ideally includes a 3-hour driving however you may also explore most of the central city on foot.

Tour itinerary

11 am Meeting with the guide at the train station
The Nizhny Novgorod. City tour.  During the tour we’ll see :
 
Verkhnevolzhskaya embankment with its beautiful merchants’ mansions and a magnificent view of the Volga and the ancient Alexander Garden.
The Chkalovskaya staircase
Ilinskaya Street will bring us to the heart of the merchant life of the XIX-XX centuries, and also help us to better understand the uneasy childhood of Maxim Gorky
Fedorovsky's embankment will give us the opportunity to take a good look at Strelka - a majestic natural sight, a place where Oka meets the Volga.
The Nativity Church, a masterpiece of Stroganov's Baroque of the early 17th century.
Nizhny Novgorod Fair (Nizhegorodskaya Yarmarka). Here we’ll learn why  Nizhny Novgorod used to be called " The Pocket of Russia” and why the city was chosen to be the center of the main trade in the country
 
2 pm Lunch break in a cozy café at Pokrovsky street

3 pm Walking tour along  Pokrovsky street with its well-preserved atmosphere of pre-revolutionary Russia and beautiful mansions of late 19^th early 20^th century

4 pm The Kremlin of Nizhny Novgorod. Its age is almost equal to Moscow Kremlin but surprisingly during its long history was never taken by enemies
 
5 pm-6 pm The tour of Rukavishnikovs palace will surprise you with its luxurious interiors.
