Troika rides

book now!
Winter offers us a chance to get a truly Russian experience and take a traditional troika ride. Why not get out of town, enjoy enchanting winter landscape and dash through the snow on a colorful sleigh pulled by three horses?

Troika is a traditional harness driving combination using a team of three horses abreast and pulling a sleigh or a carriage. The history of Russian troika goes back to the 17-18th century. At full speed a troika could reach 45–50 kilometres per hour which seemed extremely fast at that time.  It was initially intended for speedy postal delivery but later it became popular among upper classes.  Thus troika rides became common during religious celebrations and festivities  including weddings.

Not many locals have ever tried troika rides now but isn’t it fun to go back in times and experience old Russian amusement?
