After the Second World War in spite of all hardships a grandiose new architectural project was launched.  All seven skyscrapers were founded on the same day:  in 1947 at 1 pm on September 7 during the celebration of Moscow’s 800th anniversary. One of them is Moscow State University which remains the tallest educational building in the world. Each of the Seven Moscow skyscrapers became a masterpiece of architecture. They were created during the period from 1947 to 1953 in an elaborate combination of Russian Baroque and Gothic styles.
