Christmas Light festival 2015-2016

18.12.2015 – 10.01.2016
If you plan to visit Russia during New Year holidays, you should not certainly miss the international festival “Christmas Light” that will take place in our capital for the first time. The outstanding designers and artists from Italy, France and Canada will demonstrate the unique light installations created to illuminate Moscow streets.

The gem of this festival will be  Valerio Festi´s works, the famous Italian light artist who revived the Venetian carnival and prepared a great light show after St. Peter's Basilica reconstruction in Vatican. The art-objects by this master will appear on Nikolskaya street, Tverskaya and Teatralnaya squares.

Guests of the festival will have a chance to see 10 large-scale installations and enjoy about 20 art objects. To create all this beauty the designers will use more than 100 kilometers of garlands.  If you happen to come to the festival, don’t miss the opportunity to  go through the 100-meter-long light tunnel on Tverskoy boulevard, have a look at marvelous 2-meter-high chandeliers over Stoleshnikov lane, and see light projections at Poklonnaya Gora. Another highlight of “Christmas Light” festival will be a big skating rink with beautiful ice-shows, historic photo-maze, merry-go-rounds and the longest ice-run.

We hope that the Christmas light festival will make your Moscow tour more colorful!
