Among the most popular ones is ice skating. Below is the list of outdoor skating rinks where you can try your skills Feel free to ask your Moscow tour guide for the suggestions where to skate to avoid long lines at weekends and during holiday season.
GUM-skating rink
Have you ever imaged skating on Red Square.  Since 2006 the artificial ice-skating rick has been set up for the whole winter season. So you can enjoy fabulous views at day time or night, no matter what the weather is like.

Hermitage Garden Skating rink
Thousands of light garlands, ice heart, illuminated trees and benches as well as romantic music are all the attributes of the skating ring in Hermitage garden. Since 1984 this skating rink has been a popular site for romantic dates. This year the Hermitage garden invites to go dating in the atmospere of New- York, Tokyo or Paris.

Gorky park skating rink
Moscow best-known skating rink is at Gorky park. Dating back to the time before World War II, it gained popularity over the time, especially over the last year, when it underwent a complete renovation. Now in winter skaters can experience a huge territory of ice laid out in avenues, squares all around the park. To make facilities more accessible for a skater, a lot of cafes might be visited without taking skates off. It is the place to come with a big company of friends after the working day or at the weekend.

Rental: free without time limit but 1000 Rub money deposit

Sokolniki park ice rink
Another rink which is worth trying is at Sokolniki park. There are actually two rinks, one is called "Ice", another  is "Big Rink" which looks like a ring with radial allays going off it.  Lovely music, colorful night lighting and entertainment will add some more flavor to your leisure time.
